Polish health ministry proposes 240 zł/hour cap for doctors — but experts warn of loopholes
Poland's Ministry of Health wants to cap doctors' pay in the public healthcare system at 240 zł gross per hour — roughly 76,800 zł per month — with working time limited to the equivalent of two full-time posts. The measure is intended to curb the highest publicly funded medical salaries. However, experts warn that the exceptions built into the proposal could easily become the norm, effectively undermining the cap. The final shape of the regulations has not yet been confirmed.
