Nawrocki sends windfall fuel tax to Constitutional Tribunal; Tusk hits back
President Karol Nawrocki referred the windfall profits tax on fuel companies to the Constitutional Tribunal for preventive review on 24 July. Prime Minister Donald Tusk criticised the move on X, coining the acronym "CKN" — "Ceny Karola Nawrockiego" (Nawrocki's Prices) — implying the president bears responsibility for high fuel prices. Presidential spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz fired back, criticising Tusk's conduct.
