Grass awns can seriously injure dogs – vets warn this summer
Grass awns pose a serious risk to dogs in summer, piercing their skin and causing pain, infections and inflammation requiring veterinary treatment. A veterinary clinic in Wrocław reported receiving a large number of patients last weekend needing awn removal. Vets are urging dog owners to be cautious during walks in tall grass.
