48 survivors rescued after Vietnamese cargo ship sinks in South China Sea

The number of survivors from a Vietnamese cargo ship that sank near a Chinese-occupied shoal in the South China Sea has risen to 48. Search and rescue teams continue to hunt for additional people who went down with the vessel. The full number of victims and exact circumstances of the sinking have not yet been confirmed.
