Gen. Polko: Polish army needs 5–10 years to reach full combat readiness

Gen. Roman Polko, former commander of the GROM special forces unit, said that battlefield robotisation is progressing and the Polish army is preparing for it, but reaching the required level of readiness will take around 5 to 10 years. He stressed that close cooperation with Ukraine — from whose combat experience Poland can learn a great deal — is essential to achieving this goal.
