MP proposes compensation for hotels losing bookings due to bears
Poland 2050 MP Bartosz Romowicz plans to submit a bill to the Sejm this week amending the nature protection act. The draft would introduce compensation for tourism businesses — such as hotels and guesthouses — for lost earnings caused by cancelled bookings due to fear of predators, including bears. The proposal responds to bear sightings near tourist resorts deterring visitors.
