Bordeaux megafire stable after calm night but rising temperatures threaten flare-up
The massive wildfire burning in France's Gironde department near Bordeaux, which has consumed 42,000 hectares of forest since July 22, was described as "stable" on Tuesday morning after a calm night. However, local authorities warn that forecast temperatures of 33–35°C inland combined with a southeast wind could reignite the blaze during the day.
