Royal Mail raises bulk postal prices by up to a third from October — NHS faces higher costs

Royal Mail has announced it will raise wholesale postal prices by an average of 25% — and up to a third in some cases — from 5 October. The increase affects large-volume senders including the NHS, which uses the service to send medical appointment notices, as well as companies sending bills and marketing letters. The move represents a multimillion-pound blow to the health service.
