US Marines to upgrade H-1 helicopters with new weapons under Bell contract

The US Navy has signed a contract with Bell to modernize the Marine Corps' H-1 family of helicopters. The upgrade is intended to allow the aircraft to integrate new types of weapons — potentially including laser systems — as well as advanced sensors.
