Italy's Askoll closes Slovak factory after 33 years, moves production to China

Italian company Askoll Group will shut down its factory in Potvorice, Slovakia, in December after 33 years of operation, laying off all workers at the site. The company cites rising tax and social contribution burdens as well as decisions by the current Slovak government as the reasons. Production is to be relocated to China.
