Polish woman who moved to Belgium got a bailiff over unpaid TV licence fees

A Polish woman who moved to Belgium for several years and took her television with her stopped paying the TV licence fee without formally deregistering the device, resulting in a bailiff visit. The Supreme Administrative Court ruled that only official deregistration of a receiver exempts the owner from paying the licence. Even leaving the television behind in Poland does not protect against the debt if the device remains registered.
