Orbán Government Approved 10,000 Foreign Workers for BYD Factory in Hungary
A Hungarian state secretary revealed in a Facebook video that Viktor Orbán's government has committed over 70 billion forints (approximately €195 million) in infrastructure support to Chinese carmaker BYD. The government also approved the hiring of around 10,000 foreign workers at BYD's factory in southern Hungary. The disclosure drew attention given the government's longstanding anti-immigration rhetoric.
