Sham Public Consultations Can Invalidate Local Government Resolutions

Legal expert Teresa Siudem warns that local government bodies which conduct only sham public consultations risk having their resolutions declared invalid. When legislation requires genuine consultation and authorities merely go through the motions, it constitutes a serious procedural breach. Siudem stresses that such conduct can be successfully challenged before administrative courts.
