Terlecki on PiS split: new party to be "free from intrigues and quarrels"
Ryszard Terlecki, a long-time close associate of Jarosław Kaczyński, described the backstory of the split within Law and Justice (PiS) in a column for "Kurier Krakowski". He pointed to a longstanding dispute between the so-called "maślarze" faction and supporters of Mateusz Morawiecki over the party's style. Terlecki is among the MPs who refused to sign a loyalty pledge demanded by party leadership and were subsequently expelled from PiS.
