Ghost Schools in Poland Enrol Colombians as Students Without Their Knowledge

Poland is home to so-called ghost schools that fraudulently register hundreds of foreigners — including Colombians — as pupils or students without their knowledge, enabling residence permit fraud and siphoning millions of zlotys from public funds. One victim, Maria, discovered after translating her documents that she was simultaneously listed as a secondary-school pupil and a university student. Suspicious companies are linked to the scheme, which has cost public funds millions of zlotys.
