Australian comedy classic The Castle to become a stage play in Melbourne in 2027

The beloved 1997 Australian comedy film The Castle is being adapted into a stage play by the original Working Dog team — Rob Sitch, Tom Gleisner, Santo Cilauro and Jane Kennedy. The production will be described as a "new, fully updated" version of the story of the Kerrigan family fighting the Australian government to save their home from an airport expansion. The play will premiere in Melbourne in 2027.
