Missing underscore in username put innocent Nova Scotia man in prison for 18 months

Brandon Klayme of Nova Scotia spent 18 months in prison due to a one-character police error in a 2018 child-luring investigation. Investigators were seeking the Kik user "fus__ro_dah" (two underscores) but accidentally requested records for "fus_ro_dah" (one underscore), leading them to the wrong man. The investigation originated in Madison, Wisconsin before extending to Halifax, Canada.
