Polish government mulls fuel VAT cut for last two weeks of summer holidays
Following Prime Minister Donald Tusk's announcement of possible systematic fuel price reductions, government representatives revealed further details. A temporary VAT cut on fuel is being considered for the last two weeks of the summer holidays, and a windfall tax on oil companies during periods of sharp price increases is being planned for next year. President Nawrocki had previously blocked the windfall tax by referring the bill to the Constitutional Tribunal.
