Modest Mouse guitarist accused of sending inappropriate messages to a minor

Simon O'Connor, guitarist for Modest Mouse, has been accused of sending sexually explicit messages to a 16-year-old fan, including an explicit meme and a suggestive comment about her bikini photos. Screenshots of the alleged exchanges were posted on Reddit over the weekend. O'Connor has acknowledged the contact, claiming he mistook the account for someone else.
