Fridge yeast as fertiliser for hydrangeas — here's how it works
At the end of July, hydrangeas need extra feeding to keep them blooming into autumn. A popular homemade fertiliser uses fresh yeast: dissolve 10 g of yeast in a litre of warm water with a spoonful of sugar, wait an hour, then dilute the solution 1:5 with water and apply every two weeks.
