Emily Wilson's Odyssey Translation Hits 1 Million Copies Thanks to Nolan's Film

Translator Emily Wilson expected to sell no more than 1,000 copies of her English translation of Homer's Odyssey. After director Christopher Nolan used her version as the basis for his film Odyssey, sales reached one million copies. Despite the commercial windfall, Wilson was openly critical of Nolan's film adaptation.
