Deputy minister Raś shaped short-term rental law while profiting from micro-flats he sold to his brother before joining government
Wirtualna Polska revealed that deputy minister Ireneusz Raś, who oversaw legislation on short-term rentals, previously bought micro-apartments and earned income from renting them out, selling them to his brother just before joining the government. When directly asked about a conflict of interest, Raś denied any wrongdoing. WP journalist Mateusz Baczyński notes that Raś removed provisions unfavourable to the short-term rental industry from the draft law.
