Poland's NFZ Health Fund Gets New Audit Powers — 30,000 PLN Fine for Obstruction

A draft amendment to Poland's National Health Fund (NFZ) law, currently open for public consultation, grants the fund new authority to audit how public money is spent at medical facilities, including private commercial ones. The NFZ will also be able to verify doctors' actual working hours. Obstructing an inspection will carry a fine of up to 30,000 PLN.
