Scottish oil and gas tycoon Sir Ian Wood dies aged 84

Sir Ian Wood, the Aberdeen-based businessman and philanthropist, has died aged 84. He transformed his family's boat repair firm into a major oil and gas engineering company, becoming one of the most prominent figures in the Scottish energy industry. Wood was also widely recognised for his extensive philanthropic work.
