PiS seeks softer image — Ociepa put forward as candidate for Deputy Speaker

According to Rzeczpospolita editor-in-chief Michał Szułdrzyński, PiS is trying to soften the fallout from an internal split by nominating Marcin Ociepa as a candidate for Deputy Speaker of the Sejm. The move is aimed at projecting a more moderate image for the party. Szułdrzyński noted, however, that the party leadership is acting inconsistently in pursuing this strategy.
