Colombia's president-elect to close 14 embassies and 15 consulates in diplomatic overhaul

Colombian president-elect Abelardo de la Espriella has announced he will close 14 embassies and 15 consulates as part of a diplomatic overhaul aimed at cutting costs and bolstering security. He will also sever ties with Cuba and Nicaragua. De la Espriella is set to be sworn in on 7 August in Cali.
