Ban on keeping dogs on a leash takes effect 28 July 2027

An amendment to Poland's animal protection act banning the keeping of dogs and cats on a leash was published in the Journal of Laws on Monday. The new rules will come into force 12 months after publication, on 28 July 2027, giving owners one year to comply.
