Prince musical "Purple Rain" to debut on Broadway in 2027

A stage adaptation of the 1984 cult classic film "Purple Rain" starring Prince will debut on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre. Previews begin on March 12 ahead of the official opening night on April 12. The announcement was made on the 42nd anniversary of the original film's release.
