Warsaw Uprising Fashion: New Exhibition at Warsaw Rising Museum

The exhibition "Splot. Can a dress be a uniform?" at the Warsaw Rising Museum explores how Warsaw residents dressed from the stylish 1930s through the 1944 Uprising. During the German occupation, Varsovians relied on altered and recycled clothing; during the Uprising, white-and-red armbands were the only uniform element. Clothing captured from German soldiers gradually became more important.
