Brandon Sanderson's 'Mistborn' TV show gets official release date ahead of Apple TV film

In the last few years, the fantasy TV show has risen to heights that few people thought possible. During the mid-2000s, Game of Thrones was dominating the conversation at unprecedented levels, but the franchise has become more popular than ever with new spin-offs like House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms . Over on Prime Video, the steamer has positioned The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power as its biggest fantasy show, and the studio has reportedly already sunk $1 billion into the making of the first two seasons. Prime Video did have to cancel another of its beloved fantasy shows for financial reasons, and fans still aren’t happy that The Wheel of Time isn’t getting the chance to come back for Season 3.
