Russia limits fuel refills in Altai Republic to once every 24 hours

Authorities in Russia's Altai Republic have introduced a rule requiring at least 24 hours to pass between refuelling the same vehicle at a petrol station. Republic government chairman Alexander Prokofiev said the restriction is aimed at reducing panic buying and preventing fuel speculation. The move points to ongoing fuel supply problems in Russian regions.
