NSW Corruption Watchdog Probes Liberal Party Branch Stacking and Illegal Donations
New South Wales' corruption watchdog has opened a public inquiry — Operation Rosny — into allegations of branch stacking, illegal donations and interference with preselections inside the Liberal Party. Secret tape recordings played on the first day of hearings feature a developer boasting he had "my hands on the state government" and had destroyed a politician's career by taking his seat. The same developer also made explicit threats against building commissioner David Chandler.
