Turkey to patrol Baltic airspace and shoot down unidentified objects

Turkey will begin patrolling the airspace over Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia and will shoot down unidentified aerial objects that violate those borders, according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet. Turkish fighter jets will be based in Estonia as part of the mission. The move represents an unexpected contribution to NATO's eastern flank security.
