Chinese CXMT memory chips not cheaper than rivals — no market shake-up after all
The entry of Chinese memory maker CXMT into the broad retail market was expected to undercut Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron and drive prices down. In practice, CXMT chips are proving to be no cheaper than their rivals — and in many cases are actually more expensive. The anticipated price revolution in the memory market has not materialised.
