Lido Moves $16.5B in Staked Ether to Cut Validator Count by a Third

Liquid staking protocol Lido has begun moving 8 million ETH worth $16.5 billion as part of a major consolidation of its validator set. The restructuring will reduce the number of validators by roughly one third. For the first time, professional node operators will be required to post financial bonds.
