Berlin terrorist who killed Polish woman had earlier suspended sentence for IS recruitment

Abdul Ballout carried out a terrorist attack in Berlin, killing a Polish woman from Warsaw and injuring 29 others. Months before the attack, a German court had sentenced him to 22 months in prison for attempting to join the Islamic State, but suspended the sentence. Critics are calling the judicial decision "complete madness," arguing the attack was preventable.
