Thai Exchange Bitkub Concealed Cyberattack Behind $50 Million Hack

Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission has accused crypto exchange Bitkub of concealing a cyberattack that took place in May 2021. Hackers stole 1.7 billion baht — approximately $50 million — across 16 different digital assets. The SEC alleges that Bitkub hid information about the breach from regulators and customers.
