Gironde wildfires: 220,000 evacuated — Polish residents recount the chaos

Wildfires in south-west France, centred around the Gironde region, remain out of control, with around 220,000 residents and tourists evacuated so far. Polish women living in France described the chaotic situation on the ground. One of them, Marta, said: "It's hard to believe this is really happening."
