Storms lash Podkarpacie — firefighters called out over 70 times, hailstones shovelled up

Violent storms swept through the Podkarpacie region of Poland on Monday, prompting over 70 firefighter interventions. The worst conditions were recorded in Nisko and Mielec counties, where residents shovelled up hailstones. Emergency services have warned residents about further dangerous weather events expected in the region.
