Russia denies new mobilisation plans – but said the same before 2022 call-up

State Duma Defence Committee chairman Andrei Kartapolov declared there is no need for another wave of mobilisation in Russia, calling Zelensky's warnings "rumours." Notably, Kartapolov made the same assurances in October 2022, just before Russia announced a partial mobilisation.
