Over 330,000 Haitians in the US face loss of protected status
The Trump administration is moving to terminate temporary protected status (TPS) for more than 330,000 Haitian immigrants in the US, stripping them of the right to live and work legally in the country. Around 13,000 of them are nursing assistants caring for 65,000 patients daily. Haitians fear forced deportation to a country gripped by violence and instability.
