Kraken's Parent Payward Acquires Magic Labs' Wallet Business; Firm Rebrands as Newton Labs

Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has acquired the embedded wallet business from Magic Labs. Magic Labs is rebranding as Newton Labs to focus on onchain finance infrastructure. The deal strengthens Kraken's position in the digital asset custody and wallet management segment.
