Violent storms and hail hit Poland — severe squall line sweeps eastern regions

Violent thunderstorms broke out across Poland on Monday afternoon, with the most severe activity in the east of the country. A dangerous squall line developed in the Podkarpacie region and moved eastward, bringing torrential rain, hail and strong winds. Conditions were expected to calm down only by evening.
