Cisco's "Internet of Cognition" aims to link AI agents into superintelligence

Vijoy Pandey, SVP and GM of Outshift by Cisco, argues that AI agents already have the intelligence needed for complex tasks — what's missing is a "connective tissue" layer enabling them to share intent, context and reasoning. Outshift calls this the "Internet of Cognition," a semantic layer sitting above a connectivity layer. A healthcare example illustrates the concept: four specialised agents handling triage, scheduling, insurance and pharmacy could coordinate patient care end-to-end without human decision-making.
