Laser enrichment could cut nuclear fuel costs; organ preservation advances

Global Laser Enrichment (GLE) is about to begin commercial-scale tests of laser uranium enrichment, a technique that separates usable uranium from waste material and could help keep nuclear energy costs down. Separately, researchers are working on new methods to preserve organs outside the body, as conventional freezing destroys tissue through ice crystal formation.
