Tusk: Nawrocki sent windfall-profits tax law to Constitutional Tribunal — "a waste of 4 billion zloty"
Prime Minister Donald Tusk criticised President Karol Nawrocki for referring to the Constitutional Tribunal a law that would have taxed the windfall profits of fuel companies. Tusk estimated the budget loss at 4 billion zloty and ironically dubbed the situation "Karol Nawrocki's prices" (CKN), a play on the old CPN fuel brand acronym. The law targeted extraordinary profits of oil companies.
