Bordeaux wildfire so massive it generates its own thunderstorms, may burn for months

A massive wildfire burning near Bordeaux, France, has grown so large that it is generating its own thunderstorms, a phenomenon known as a pyrocumulonimbus or "fire cloud." Firefighters have warned the blaze could continue burning for several months. The storm-force winds created by such fire clouds are particularly dangerous as they can dramatically and unpredictably change the fire's direction.
