Parking fine could jump to 1,000 zł under new parliamentary proposal

A parliamentary motion has been submitted calling for parking fines to rise from 100 zł to as much as 1,000 zł for illegal parking. The current fine has not changed in over twenty years and has lost its deterrent effect — it is currently cheaper to park illegally than to pay for a spot in a paid parking zone. The proposal aims to restore the fine as a genuine financial penalty.
