Supreme Court: living in a family home is not enough to claim adverse possession
Poland's Supreme Court has ruled that adverse possession of a property lent to a relative by its owners is extremely difficult to establish. Simply living in a dwelling is not sufficient grounds to acquire ownership through adverse possession. The nature of the possession matters — it must be independent, not dependent on the owner's consent.
