Massive queues to summit Rysy — tourists shocked by Tatra crowds

Last weekend saw record-breaking crowds in the Tatra Mountains, with photos and videos of enormous queues to climb Rysy — the highest peak on the Polish side — going viral and sparking widespread outrage online. Hundreds of tourists were seen waiting in long lines to reach the summit. The mass tourism phenomenon in the Tatras is drawing growing concern.
